A refurbishment project to revive and refinish this unique 1970’s octagon treehouse.

We fixed water damage on the primary structure and replaced the original decking while keeping with the octantal theme. Each portion of decking was cut at 73.5 degrees and special considerations were made to accommodate trees while extending the size of the deck to make more space for outdoor living and entertaining. Set at the base of a cliff, we navigated a complicated terrain of hard conglomerate rock, deep layers of soft leaves and established root systems while setting the foundations.

The result is a 1200 square foot pre-stained red cedar deck with douglas fir framing that blends seamlessly into the original build.
